Mel 4Ever "Heels"

SELF-RELEASED | 2024

by Steven Logan

Every so often, a visionary emerges with a new taxonomy to help us classify, categorize and make sense of the world. Charles Darwin and the origin of species. Karl Marx and class conflict. Now, New York’s Mel 4Ever is joining the club on her deliciously fun new electropop single, on which she invents and administers a new standard of what it takes to be “heels” - and explicitly spells out which pop girlies do or do not make the cut.

We’re off to the races with lyrics in the opening verse like “Bitch I keep it going tippy toeing like a barbie / And I’m talking Nicki not that Converse Margot Robbie”. The gauntlet has been thrown down. The world will never be the same. Converse stock is plummeting.

And as for you dear reader, are you wondering if you’re soooooo heels? Well, if you have to ask…

“Heels” is Mel 4Ever’s second release of 2024, following the Ayesha Erotica assisted “Tongues” earlier this year.
