Newcomer Asht6n has had a great run this year so far, with three strong singles out since March. “Proof of Purchase” is the strongest out of this early batch, packed with hooks in the verses and chorus. Over a slippery synth line, the Atlanta artist asks to be “worn out like a pair of Louboutins” among other acts of S&M. The track is short but sickly sweet, and a calling card for an underground pop star on the rise.

“Proof of Purchase” is Asht6n’s second single, and was followed by the single “Shades” earlier this month.
