Chicago’s Grizzy Mack has a back catalog of introspective, dreamlike hip-hop songs; his lyrics inner monologues made real with autotune.

On “Adele”, he channels those instincts into a poppier, more upbeat direction, brushing off irrelevant debates and fake people to focus. “Gotta stay on track and make a statement/Looking for the checks, getting creative,” he sings. It could be his strongest track yet, displaying both his sense of humor and dead serious pop skills.
