"Torrent" by SOBBRS

fortunato-final.jpg

SELF-RELEASED | 2019

“Torrent” is less than two minutes long, but as the opening track from SOBBRS’ debut album Fortunato, it’s the perfect into to the allusions to Edgar Allan Poe’s The Cask of Amontillado that run through the entire album. Jesus Acosta delivers poetic lyrics that circle back to the same twin hooks of “Sorry I rained down on you like a torrent” and “I love the taste of cement on my face.”
