"Lana's America" by T. Thomason

Self released | 2019

Canadian singer/songwriter T. Thomason sings “I used to wish to be an American”, a wish we come to learn is totally informed by a romanticized, imagined America similar to the one that exists in Lana del Rey’s music. Even though he knows that dream can never really come true, he can try to recreate the feeling as he cries out in the chorus: “Woman, take me by the hand/I wanna dance to the dream again.”

”Lana’s America” is a standout track from T. Thomason’s new self-titled album. The album was preceded by singles “Loser” and “Birdsong” earlier this year.
