This cover of Mandy Moore’s 1999 debut single is indicative of the way the queer pop underground has rediscovered and reinterpreted turn-of-the-millennium cultural markers. BabyAngel69 brings the track into 2019 with maximalist club-ready production and a full-throated vocal performance.

”Candy” is the second release from BabyAngel69, following the promising debut single “Ever Need” earlier this year. The Brooklyn artist also served as a supporting performer for Dorian Electra’s recently-wrapped North American tour.
